Confirmed for Clerk 2026 (CRP CSA-XVI): the notification published on ibps.in (dated August 1, 2026) restates this exact spec — 200×230 pixels preferred, 20–50 KB — in its scanned-document annexure. Registration and fee payment run August 1–21, 2026, with a two-day edit window after close; the preliminary exam is slated for October 2026, the main for December 2026, and provisional allotment for March 2027. One thing the form does that no tool can prepare: besides the uploaded file, you also capture a live photograph during registration, by webcam or by scanning a QR code with your phone — passport-style framing, light background, no cap or dark glasses, face uncovered.
Confirmed for PO/MT 2026 and Specialist Officers 2026 too: the CRP PO/MT-XVI and CRP SPL-XVI notifications (both dated June 30, 2026 on ibps.in) restate the identical annexure word for word — same 200×230 photo, same live-photograph capture. Their registration window ran July 1–21, 2026 and is closed (PO preliminary exams are slated for August 2026); several exam-news sites claimed PO registration ran into late August — the notification's own dates table says otherwise. Three 2026 notifications, one spec: if you're preparing files for any IBPS-family form, this is the format.
IBPS notifications (PO, Clerk, RRB, SO) and SBI's recruitment portal specify the same photograph upload: 200×230 pixels, JPG/JPEG, between 20 KB and 50 KB. Both ends of the range are enforced — the portal rejects files under 20 KB just as it rejects files over 50. A 200×230 pixel JPEG at high quality is often naturally under 20 KB — so plain resizing produces a file the portal refuses. PixFit handles this the spec-sanctioned way: it encodes at the best quality first, and if the result is below your minimum it pads the file up to 20 KB with a JPEG comment segment. The comment says in plain text that it's padding, changes no pixels, and upload portals accept it — it's just bytes the format allows. The DPI label field is preset to 200 — IBPS's scanning instructions specify 200 DPI, and PixFit writes that figure into the JPEG header so the file carries the label too (pixels are what validation checks; the label just matches the spec).
The photograph itself must be a recent passport-style color photo against a light background, without caps or dark glasses. If your source photo is rectangular, the 200:230 crop is close to passport shape, so a normal passport photo crops cleanly. Requirements occasionally change between notifications — the current recruitment notice on ibps.in (Annexure with scanned-document guidelines) is the authority.
